DESCRIPTION:Set on the trails of Miranda with the stunning backdrop of the Firth of Thames\, this event will bring our community together in support of the vital conservation efforts of the Pūkorokoro Shorebird Centre. \n\n\n\nWith 5k and 12k options along the picturesque\, spacious\, natural vistas of the Hauraki Rail Trail there is something for everyone. \n\n\n\nGet back to Ray’s Rest in time to have something to eat from the food trucks or head into Kaiaua for lunch. \n\n\n\nTake your time to browse the Shorebird Centre marquee at the event and learn more about the wildlife Miranda is famous for and the conservation efforts that are going on. And stick around for a chance to win some spot prizes. \n\n\n\nThere will be a talk put on at the centre after the run that people can sign up for to get a deeper understanding of the job of the shorebird centre.And also there will be a guided walk you can sign up for at the end of the day so you can experience and learn about Miranda’s famous shorebirds first hand.Proceeds from the event will go to The Pūkorokoro Shorebird Centre.
