DESCRIPTION:Blazing Hills is a new trail run/walk event hosted on private property in the heart of the Waimarino. \nTake the opportunity to experience trails on the vast hill country\, which is varied\, scenic and has hills that just keep on coming! \nExpect hills! All our courses are designed to challenge the quads\, except for the 3km trail\, which is designed for all age groups and abilities who just want to get out and have fun! These special places are only open for this event – and take you off the beaten track across private farmland. \nWith a range of four distances to choose from 3kms – 20.5kms\, choose the event to suit you! \nWe’ve got camping\, après race beverages and food\, games for the kids and so much more – so make a day of it! \nOur focus is to host an event that is utterly amazing\, where people can enjoy themselves and connect through the great outdoors. SUMMARY:3 Peaks Mountain Race
DESCRIPTION:Named after the three peaks of Flagstaff (668m)\, Swampy (739m) and Mt Cargill (676m)\, the 3 Peaks takes runners and walkers up some of Dunedin’s most beautiful trails through lush native bush where they are rewarded with incredible panoramic views. \n\n\n\nThe 56km 3 Peaks Plus 1 adds one of the high points of the Silverpeaks\, Pulpit Rock (760m)\, and even more amazing terrain and trail. The 55km event is also the NZ short course trail running championship. \n\n\n\nThe 3 Peaks Mountain Race starts and finishes within 4km of the city centre and yet accesses some stunningly wild and remote trails and hills.
