The great folks at Meridian have allowed us access to over 25km of trails up amongst one of the most advanced wind farms in the world. High quality trails with more variety than you could ever expect\, from pine needle tracks through forest\, to coastal trails with the Cook Straight crashing on the rocks beside you\, to ridge lines with the South Island only 25 kilometers away. And finally\, and uniquely\, you’ll be running amongst 110 meter wind turbines.

SUMMARY:XTRAIL Woolshed
DESCRIPTION:Sunday – 24th May 2026 \n\n\n\nA classic Barefoot XTRAIL course with a great old Woolshed by the Venue HQ. The courses take you through pine and native forest\, plus a fair amount of open well formed tracks. It’s a solid run\, with a bit of climbing\, but worthwhile for the views. This venue is everything an XTERRA trail should be and you will love it. Parking is at a bit of a premium\, so car pool if you can.
