SUMMARY:Mt Difficulty Ascent
DESCRIPTION:This is an ADVENTURE RUN folks\, the ‘adventure’ part means you can’t run all of this course. The serious stuff on this course is off track. There may be some sheep tracks but you’ll be following bright orange/red wide trail marking tape – there will be plenty so no reason to get lost. \n\n\n\nMost of the ‘gentler’ sections are following high country 4WD tracks\, these are still mostly quite technical to run and there could easily be snow across sections of them. \n\n\n\nMAKE SURE your shoes have good grip on them. This is not the race for one last outing with a favourite old pair of shoes – this is a very good excuse to buy a new pair! \n\n\n\nMt Difficulty Ascent25kmDistance44km25kmVert (m)32741627Gradient7.4%6.5%GRADIENT FACTORBrutalHarsh

SUMMARY:Canterbury Winter Trail Series: Mt Cass
DESCRIPTION:Event #2 in the series. Located just five minutes north of Amberley\, Mount Cass Station sits where the Waipara wine region meets the rugged Pacific coastline. This dramatic landscape is defined by impressive limestone outcrops\, big hills\, and bush-filled gullies\, creating a challenging and visually striking course. Expect sustained climbs\, technical descents\, and constantly changing terrain\, all rewarded with epic views across the Waipara district\, Mount Grey\, Pegasus Bay\, and back toward Christchurch and Banks Peninsula. A true highlight for runners who love tough trails and big scenery.
