Tongariro River Trail

Hidden away on the edge of Tongariro National park, sits the alpine fed Tongariro River. Our course follows the Tongariro River trail through stunning native forest, and over crystal clear water, keeping an eye out for anglers and trout in New Zealand’s best (and internationally renowned) freshwater fishing spots. WIth native birch forests and piteristic swing bridges over 100% DOC land, this is easily one of our favorite locations for 2024!
