Conceived in 1988, the Kepler Challenge has grown to become New Zealand’s iconic mountain run. On the first Saturday in December, Te Anau is transformed into the mountain run capital of New Zealand as runners and their supporters descend on the town. With the whole community backing the event, there is a real buzz in the town. This unique atmosphere makes the weekend special for everyone taking part.
